当前互联网行业中最热门的话题或应用便是"Location"（地理位置）。Foursquare的iPhone应用将“check-in”的概念快速的在美国火了起来。（上个月Twitter也开始让用户在每个推附加地理位置的信息）事实上，如果你有在用Foursquare的话，你会发现上海也不乏用户在不同的地方“check-in”。
其实Foursquare现在的应用内容“好玩”的成份多余它的实用性。但是当一个应用服务能知道你在那里的时候，很多很实在的功能可以被挖掘出来。购物类型的应用如果知道你正在逛某家店，它可以将那家店的折价格卷“push”给你。交友应用可以告诉你，你正在光顾的夜店有哪些单身MM也在那里。。。
国内已经有类似的应用服务出现，甚至有早在Foursquare让location火起来之前就开始的应用服务！

One of the hottest topics in the Internet industry right now is "location." Foursquare's iPhone app got the concept quite popular in the US. Even Twitter started last month to allow users embed location data into each tweet. In fact, if you used Foursquare now, you'd know that there are many users in Shanghai "checking-into" a lot of venues already.
In reality, Foursquare's app right now is more "fun" than "practical." But location data can make an app/service quite userful. Imagine if you're browsing at a store and an app pushes its coupons to you? Or better yet, you're at a night club and a social network lets you know if there are hotties on the network also there.
In China, location-based services are popping up, too. Some even pre-dated Foursquare!
